Bernard Madoff will plead guilty to 11 charges in his financial fraud case and faces 150 years behind bars if convicted, his attorney said Tuesday
Wow 150 years for pleading guilty to 11 charges of financial fraud is all that came to mind when I first heard it on the news. I can’t say that I feel sorry for him but I can say that he should spend some time in jail. Is it enough I’m not sure yet because I’m still concerned with all the thousands of people that are still out of their life savings. It’s amazing to me that a persons can be that greedy that he will steel for a living and get away with it for as long as he did. So I’m wondering if we wasn’t in a economic depression would we ever know of his deception?
Madoff appeared in court on Tuesday to try and clear his lawyer of any conflicts of interest. Not really sure if that was a good idea for him. Being that his attorney was presenting him the entire time he was commenting fraud may not be to smart. But what do I know he is just a common thief in my eyes.
